It has been observed that most of the parents do not give adequate attention to the circulars or information conveyed through school diaries. This leads to doubts, queries and gaps which create unnecessary tensions and inconvenience. I request you to treat this information seriously and read the circulars thoroughly and acknowledge the same. Also browse the school website (www.stcolumbopublicschool.com) regularly. All information conveyed through the pages of the website. SMS will also be sent regarding important information. Kindly verify your mobile no?s. as recorded with the teacher personally.

The success of the class activities, competitions depends on the cooperation of parents by way of efforts taken up for preparing their wards. Together Parents and Teachers can instill confidence in children and enhance their talent which will go a long way in grooming their personality.

To ensure that the child remains up to date with the daily school curriculum, it is important that parents follow up the work given to be done at home. The child in this way will imbibe the habit of regular study.

Do not at any cost criticize people, teachers or anybody in front of the child.

Kindly check that your ward is not absent on activity days. Participation in extra activities is a part of the personality grooming of students.

Cultivate the habit of extra reading. Encourage both reading and listening habit which will further enhance the child?s language skills.

Discourage the habit of excessive T.V. viewing or computer usage. Rather let the child participate in games and creative activities like drawing, painting, crafts, origami, singing, dance and others.

To develop a taste for the fine aspects of life and inculcate appreciation and aesthetics in your child, visit museums, theme parks, exhibitions, theatre and stage shows, music performance rather than always cinema or shopping centers.

Inculcate in your child the habit of using the dustbin and keeping the surroundings clean. Don not allow him/her to throw wrappers around or litter at home or in school. Cleanliness of self around is very essential.

Do not pamper your child with money or market packed snacks at this age. This may lead to erratic habits which may cause problems in future.

For safety and security reasons, it is mandatory that parents carry identity cards with them (which will be issued to them) every time they visit school.
